John Muir Health, Concord Medical Center is excited to announce an eight-week summer volunteer program for high school students, running from June 9 to August 1, 2025. 

Concord Medical Center High School Volunteering

Who Can Apply

  • Rising sophomores-seniors who attend a high school in Contra Costa County are invited to apply. 

Volunteer Positions

  • There are 20 volunteer positions available.

  • Up to 60 applications will be accepted for consideration. 

Application Details

  • Applications will be accessible here beginning March 5.

  • Applicants must submit their attendance records from freshman year through their current year by April 14th.

  • Incomplete applications will not be considered. 

Program Requirements

  • Students must commit to one volunteer shift per week throughout the eight-week program.

  • Interested Applicants must attend an in-person Information session on May 6, from 5:30-6:30pm to be considered for the program. It is highly recommended that a parent, guardian, or teacher also attend.

  • Students that are selected for the Summer Program must attend a required Orientation session on May 28 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Concord Medical Center.

·         No other dates will be offered. If you cannot attend both sessions, your application will not be considered.

Program Requirements

  • Students who successfully complete the summer program will be eligible to volunteer during the school year.
